The Texas A&M Superfund Research Center (SRP) convened Superfund Research Program partners from the University of New Mexico SRP, the University of Arizona SRP, the University of Washington’s RAPID Facility, and disaster response experts from CTEH, LLC for a Geospatial Data Analytics Workshop focused on strengthening the application of geospatial analytics in disaster research and response.
The meeting emphasized geospatial methods and data collection approaches that support the Superfund Research Program’s mission to protect human health and the environment. Topics included strategies for managing, integrating, and sharing geospatial data, as well as lessons learned from deploying geospatial tools during natural disaster events in Washington, Texas and other locations, and emergency response efforts.

Participants shared applied research experiences, discussed best practices and emerging capabilities, and engaged in collaborative dialogue around current challenges and opportunities. The session fostered strong cross-institutional engagement and identified actionable next steps to enhance collaboration and advance geospatial data analytics across the SRP network.
These efforts support NIEHS priorities by strengthening interdisciplinary partnerships and improving the use of data-driven tools to inform disaster preparedness, response, and recovery in communities affected by environmental hazards.
